Semi-Frameless Sliding Shower Screen Installed in Thornlie
This spacious Thornlie shower area was upgraded from an older fully framed enclosure to a custom semi-frameless sliding shower screen in matte black. The sliding design provides generous access without a door opening into the bathroom or dripping water across the floor.
More Room Without an Outward-Opening Door
The existing fully framed shower screen had become dated and made this generous shower area feel more enclosed than necessary. With plenty of internal space available, a semi-frameless sliding shower screen provided a cleaner and more practical replacement. The customer specifically wanted to avoid a pivot door opening out over the bathroom floor. With a sliding configuration, the door remains within the shower-screen footprint when opened, helping prevent water from dripping outside the shower after use. The clear toughened glass makes the enclosure feel lighter and more open, while the matte-black framing creates a strong contrast against the white wall tiles. The new screen also allows the full size of the shower area to be appreciated instead of hiding it behind older obscured glass and heavy white framing. Every section was professionally measured and custom-made to suit the existing shower base and bathroom layout. The result provides generous access, smooth sliding operation and a modern finish without requiring major changes to the bathroom. This Thornlie shower-screen replacement was personally measured and installed by Allan from AMAC Shower Screens & Robes.
